Everyone Has a Story

Everyone Has a Story

Everyone Has a Story is the 1st novel written by Miss Savi Sharma released in August 2015. This novel is based on an inspirational Story of Dreams, Friendship, Love & Life. As a debut writer she published this novel by herself and quickly became popular and bestselling.

As you all know, during the struggle period, nobody cares for you and after success, everybody started following you. In that rule, Westland publisher collaborated with her and publishing her books now. By February 2017 more than 1,00,000 copies of the book were sold.

In 2018, when I was in Bangalore, I bought a couple of books there seeing the reviews on Amazon, which includes This is Not Your Story and when I opened that book, I came to know about the author and her story too. Then I stopped reading that thought to read the 1st novel at first and then the 2nd one.

Once Tapas Bhai, my co-editor for Shubhapallaba had given this book and almost after 1 and half years just a few days back when I returned from Delhi after the 6th PRABASI BHASHA SAMMAN-2020 I started reading this one.

According to the story of this novel, there are four main characters; Meera, a fledgling writer who is in search of a story that can touch millions of lives. Vivan, an assistant branch manager at Citibank who dreams of traveling the world. Kabir, a cafe manager who desires something of his own. Nisha, the despondent cafe customer who keeps her secrets of her own. And everyone has their own stories with own struggles.

When I started reading the book, I was curious to know about the writer Meera, how she wished to write a book without a story? But when I started reading further and turn pages, their stories stick my attention to read and complete as quickly as possible.

Everyone's story has some unique thing, but when the story came to an end, I really didn't expect such things. But after all, I love the very last part. While giving a review of any books, I really appreciate the hard work of the author. Here she did a fabulous job, that's why this book got the best seller from the Indian readers.

If you want to read this novel for free, then It's available on Kindle unlimited and you could listen to it on Audible for free too.

World's Best Boyfriend

Sangram Keshari Senapati November 01, 2017 0
World's Best Boyfriend
I started to read English novels as per someone's suggestion. The first book was "When Only Love Remains" by Durjoy Datta. That book created a place for Durjoy inside me. After that I read his latest Book, "The Boy Who Loved" and that love story was also good. Then I read "World's Worst Best Boyfriend." I had ordered this book when Dinesh bhai had suggested me about the book. Hence the love for the book increased within me.

Finally, the book arrived and started to read it. This was the 3rd of Durjoy for me. But unfortunately, couldn't manage to finish it within time. Due to some other involvement, I took almost one month to complete it. The tagline of the book is superb, "Because Every Ordinary Girl Deserves An Extraordinary Love Story."

This story is about a boy, Dhruv whose parents got divorced when he was twelve years old. Usually, a small child needs the support of his/her parents to make their life wonderful. But this guy couldn't get that from his parents. At the age, when he usually loved his mother more, people inside his school started talking bad about his mother. The misunderstanding has the power to destroy everything. This happened to his parents. So finally they got divorced and Dhruv loved to be with his father due to his mother's affair with some other person. How a little boy like Dhruv would tolerate that kind of relation of his mother with another person. He started hating to his mother but couldn't get a reason to love his father too.

Any love story couldn't complete without any girl. Here the girl is Aranya who was suffering from some kind of skin disease. It's the rule of our society to hate everyone who had some disability. That also happened to Aranya. Her family members also hate her due to that kind of skin. For the first time, Dhruv saw her, didn't miss the opportunity to laugh at her skin. But those things were the normal things for her. Even her father was depending on her scholarship for her studies. So, she had to work hard to survive in this selfish world.

Finally, she got admitted in Dhruv's school with the scholarship.  They both were in the same class. At that time, Dhruv's mother got divorced. So Dhruv was disappointed to her mother. He used to live with his father. His father was getting drunk in daytime also. So, he wore some dirty clothes. He had to take care of him by himself. His mother was the teacher in his school, but Dhruv kept some distance from his mother. He didn't have any friend in the school, so he used to sit on the back bench and always tried to hide him from others. Once Aranya introduced her to him because she didn't have any friend also. Some parents advised their children to keep a distance from Aranya due to her disease. Finally, they both became friends and she used to share her tiffin with him.

The boy, who couldn't get the love from his parents got a love in his class. So, he started dreaming about her and her love. Someday, he kissed her and some guys saw that. So that news spread all the school and their parents were called to the school. That moment was the ice breaking moment for Aranya. Since her parents used to hate her and this issue increased their anger for her. So, she lied in front of the discipline committee about Dhruv. Previously, Dhruv was disappointed with her mother and now form the girl, whom he started loving to form his heart. Once his father had told him that girls lie. So, that phrase came to his mind and started hating the girls. Finally, the discipline committee suspended him from the school. He grew up with the thought that "girls lies." From that incident, Aranya's parents also hate her more.

Time passed away and then Dhruv got admitted to an Engineering college where he saw a girl with the same skin disease. He identified her and the hate inside him had increased in those past years. He started to interfere with all the work by that girl to make her disappointed. In those past years, he became like his father. His father used to drink more, he also started to drink. He grew up like a monster and became like a Hulk, who don't have the understanding power. In college, he used to fight against the seniors. He was physically strong enough to defeat anyone from his college. At the same time, Aranya used to concentrate on her studies to get a scholarship for higher studies.

Dhuruv found a girl, who was more beautiful than Aranya and Aranya had the only relationship with her teachers. She fell for a professor, Raghuvir. But in every step of her college life, she faced Dhruv like a villain. So, he was referred to the "Worst" boyfriend, but he also did something for which he became the best boyfriend who accepted a girl who was not such a beauty. He helped her in some difficulties and save her from Raghuveer at last.

Everyone has some special thing, which might differ from others. And beauty lies inside not on the skin. Every person deserves a good love story, that proves through this story. And true love would never hide from yourself. Some love relationships are not the love, those are for some attraction. So, be kind to everyone. Don't know who might come to your life like a stranger and become the important one.

“The Boy Who Loved”: A lesson for the society

“The Boy Who Loved”: A lesson for the society

“The Boy Who Loved” is the latest book by Durjoy Datta. The book is describing a teenager love story and some about our social issues like inter-religion marriage. The aims of parents in a lower middle-class family that, their child should obey them till his last breath. But as per the rule, we couldn’t get those things in reality which we want. God must plan differently for their creation to make them capable of everything. He gave pain and pleasure to the same person to make him understandable to his life. And if you love someone blindly, their absence may be felt to you, so you feel like they are there for you and also talking to you.

The story was based on a journal written by a boy named Raghu Ganguli in 1999. Raghu was the youngest child of his family. A typical Bengali family, who loved the Bengalis’ tradition, food, language and felt proud of their own culture. Even they had the good relationships with the Bengali families than other families in their society. A perfect family with two sons and the elder one was a graduate from IIT and working a private sector. The younger one was a school going boy who just changed his school to a new one. The family lost a girl child who was their 2nd child. So, his grandma always cursed to his mother. His forefathers came from Bangladesh and then settled in India. They struggled to make the national Language of Bangladesh as Bengali. So his father was proud to be their generation. He loved India and loved for being Indian. He hated Muslims for the Indian-Pakistan issues in our borders.

Raghu lost his best friend in an accident. He died in front of him. So he could never forgive himself for that mistake. He was drowning in the pool of his old school, he asked him for the help. But Raghu couldn’t because he didn’t know to swim. They both planned to jump into the pool, but the internal fear of Raghu stopped him from jumping and the final result was in front of him. The friend, the only friend, who shared more of his time with him, was no more. He couldn’t do anything to save him; he couldn’t save the half soul of his life. That was not an easy thing to erase from his mind like something written by pencils. He couldn’t say the truth to the parents of his friend, about their plan. He couldn’t say a word about his fault to others. He knew how the whole school treats him as a murder of his best friend. But he should overcome from that problem and must become the pole for his family. The family members need the 2nd child to become the strength to them, but the strongest one was weaker here. To overcome from that problem, his parents decided to change his school and he must go forward towards his desire to have a good rank in Entrance Exam and join in the best IIT.

The first day at the new school, so his mother went with him to see up at the bus stop. A student in class 10 had come with his mother, that’s the 1st attention of the other students towards him. Mainly the small child came with their mother to the bus stand, but a student who is capable of doing everything by himself came with his mother also feels something different. They also felt the same for him. But, it was ok for him, because he loves his mother more than others. The first class in a different school and that also in the ending of the session must have some bad impact on him by the whole class. But that was not so difficult. On the very first day, he noticed a good looking girl, Brahmi Sharma. Tall, Fair and attracting nature of the girl attracts Raghu toward her. But the internal pain for his late friend and the beautiful girl in the class had mixed in between him. What’s that attraction, what’s that feeling? It was the first experience in life. The old girls from the old school, whom he knew from his childhood and saw them, how they looked in their childhood. So there was nothing like that for them what he felt for that girl in the new school in his first class.

Time flews and they became friends and he sits beside her in the class. They jump from classes and used to roam in the town. They spent more and more time with each other. Gradually Raghu started to recover from that pain. That girl is the reason for all this. He used to share all his works and feelings with his brother. His, brother also shared some of his stories with Raghu only as a trusted one in the family. Since his brother was working in a sector, he used to go to Bangalore. And there he felt for a girl in his office. She was his classmate in IIT too. He shared his feelings toward that girl and their relationship with Raghu. Raghu must be happy for his brother, but he couldn’t because she was a Muslim. His father hated that religion the most, his mother loved the Bengali girls and also told many times to accept a Bengali girl only. How could he accept that girl as his sister-in-law, which was not the choice of his parents! That’s the rule, if you hate something from your heart, that thing must make a home in your heart. The same thing was going to happen in their family. They hate Muslims and a Muslim girl going to make their home complete.

He planned something to make Brahmi love him. It’s the mentality of every one-sided lover to play some tricks, so that, the other end must feel something for him. More and more plans were applied to attract them in the different movie. The movies taught us to make love and the formulas to make it successfully. But, he was not enough smart to manage that. He failed in that attempt. But she knew those formulas and tricks; she felt the same for him. It’s another rule of nature, not actually nature; it was proved by our scientist that, “Every action has the equal and opposite reaction.” If you feel something special for someone, he/she must feel the same. Yes here the amount is not same, but the reaction must happen. Some reaction happens in late and some instantly. But the reaction happens and some couldn’t express about the reaction due to the external pressure like relation with other or for family issues. So Brahmi felt that for him.

Brahmi was a scholar student getting the highest score in every exam. She was living with his Tauji and Taiji. As per her, her parents were doing some jobs outside the state, so she was staying with them. She used to talk to her mother and her mother never denies anything to her. She told the friendship of Raghu with her and the feelings to her mother over the phone. She was happy for her daughter. As she never denies her, how could she become the barrier to the happiness of her daughter!

Finally, they both talked each other about their feelings and they were in deep love. That’s the age when we could fall for anyone easily and the previous pain of Raghu helped him to fall for her so easily. Brahmi, who didn’t have many friends apart from teachers, got a nice and beautiful hearted friend, who couldn’t she fall for him! It’s the time of them, the happy time, the time for celebration for Raghu. Finally, he won her and they become lovers now.
As per the rule, sadness would come after the happiness. Like that, the sadness came in their life too. The boy, who loved his parents and every day he used to call them, whenever he went somewhere, finally stood against them and that was a girl, who came to his life just 2 to 3 years before. How could he do like that! How could he denied to his parents, how could he marry a girl from other religion against the rules of his parents? But, the things must happen in our life, which we never expected. That’s same going to happen in their family. And finally, he left home for that girl and marries her against his parent’s wish.

This story is not about a love story only or not about a family story, it’s about the mix of stories of our society. The author described a number of issues in various manners, whether it is about Brahmi or about Raghu or about his father or mother or about his friends who came to his life in different situations. Everything is giving some message to the society through this book.

Miles to Go for a Happy Beginning

Sangram Keshari Senapati September 09, 2017 0
Miles to Go for a Happy Beginning
It's the book written by Anushka Agrewal. I get to know about her through Instagram, and then I just ordered that book form Amazon. This was her 1st book. I got that around 1.5 month back and read that around one month back. But unfortunately couldn’t manage time to write this. And finally I’m going to write a small overview review about her book. I’m not that much able to rate that book like professional book reviewers. But trying to focus on some of her writings through this.

The story of the book based on a love story. It started form school life and forwards to their young age. Roshni, the main character of the story is a young girl who used to love their parents and her grandparents along with her 2 best friends. Those best friends were there for her in every moment of life. They made her life a special one. I love one thing of the book is that, she is staying in Bhubaneswar. That girl had the desire to read well and make something in noticeable in future. So she always concentrated on her studies. Apart from studies, she wished to help her mother and spent some time with her friends. This was her routine life.

Once a boy joined in their class named as Garry. He was from Dubai. He was staying with his mother and his father was in Dubai. That boy was good looking and attractive. On the very first day, he tried to talk with Roshni. But one of her common friend who was studying in the previous school of Garry warned her about the nature of buy. So she avoided him. In a short period of time, Garry found a beautiful girlfriend. That girl was one of the most beautiful girl in their school. So, what Roshni heard from her friend in the other school has happened in real.

In those days, there was a planning for a trip to Himachal by the school authority. Roshni had never been in such trips previously. Yes, she went out with her two best friends, with her parents, but not with both boys and girls. But she managed to agree her parents for that trip. And finally they were happy for the trip. But, here the writer described the journey from Bhubaneswar to Himachal as one day journey, but in real that would take more time. In that journey she got closer with Garry and make friends with some new friends.

After the school trip she started spending time with Garry and a new friend added to their friend zone. They started reading together in school. Roshni, who never kept away anything from her mother, for the first time she didn’t tell her about her friendship with Garry. She always loved her parents and especially more to her father. Her father was on different tours due to their work. But she wished to be with him always. In her birthday, he came to surprise her and her friends also made some surprising plans to make her happy. That birthday was her best birthday celebration as she remembered.

In some days, Garry’s status changed to single and there were a number of rumors about him. But Roshni believed Garry. She didn’t have any idea, why she was supporting him blindly. But it’s nice to believe in word of her friend. Gradually she got attracted towards Garry and told these to her best friends and they also supported her. But she didn’t have to courage to approach him. Garry also felt the same for her. It’s the nature of this world, where every action has equal and opposite reaction. And there is another one, if you hate something, one day you must love that. This also happened with them. Roshni found her every dream at Garry and he was trying to make her happy and make her life a special one.

Once, they both planned a small trip to that place, where they came closer to each other. Roshni was very happy for that trip. It was just like their first official date. She told her mother and made her agree for that trip. Everyone loves to spend some time with their loved one. And it’s a day to spend with her loved one, she was really excited. And as per the plan, he picked up her from her home and they spent the whole day in that long drive. When they returned, Garry made a promise not to leave her hand in his whole life. And he left for his home.

Till now, there is nothing such change in the story, just a normal love story. But, now the twist came when Roshni didn’t get any message from her loved one. After leaving her, his phone was also switched off. She was worrying about him, but there was no response. Even she enquired about him, but couldn’t get any clue. His family left the house where they were living and his whats app status was also offline since days. There were many rumors in the school about her, her relationship and also about Garry. And she heard a shocking news, that he left the school and his mother took her transfer certificate.

The story of that mutual friend from the other school had become true. He left everyone, whom he got committed. But she was waiting for him. She had the believe that, one day he may call her and tell her about their love. And he called her once, but everything what she was expecting proved wrong. He warned her not to disturb him.

That’s most difficult time in someone’s life to forget someone whom he/she loved the most, who became his/her life. Time must take some tests in our life, that’s the time of time. Finally, that happened which she never expected. If something happen like that with anyone, at that time, he/she wanted to think about something else, but only that thing would come to his/her mind. That’s the same happened with her. She wished to not think about that guy, who left her like this. But, it is rule of nature; things related to him must come to her mind. But she needs to move on and go forward in her life for her parents, for her two best friends. That’s the main test in her life, she must have to make that mission impossible to possible one.

That’s the book was about her struggle to overcome that problem and the reasons of Garry to leave her. How she had managed to get her goals in the life. How her life had been changed after this heart break. The author, in such a young age, described everything in a very good way. That’s beautiful. We must appreciate that work of her.

-    A reader, who feels something special for this book.

When Only Love Remains

Sangram Keshari Senapati July 25, 2017 0
When Only Love Remains

"WHEN ONLY LOVE REMAINS” is the book written by Durjoy Datta.

Mainly, from my childhood, I couldn’t get chances to read any novels. And since I’m from an Odia medium school, it’s really a dream to read something in English. There we read English and other literature subjects to pass in the exam only. Like English, I also ignored Odia, Sanskrit, and Hindi. Since my mother-tongue is Odia, I’ve some knowledge of that language. In my childhood days, I couldn’t write an essay. Mainly I used to remind them to write in the exam. It’s because we people ignore those subjects from childhood. We focus on Mathematics, Science. And read other literature subjects just for a formality. The knowledge in literature would improve by reading more and more books in that language.

In my childhood, I couldn’t get storybooks to read. As I think, a child should attract to storybooks in his childhood, which must improve his reading skills as well as the knowledge in many fields like that literature and plot of that story based on. That time is the most important time. At that time, one learned from observing. That observing power improves various skills within him. At that time, what he learned or observed must remember for a long period of time. That is the best time to improve the skills of a child. Since those days, I couldn’t get storybooks in my own mother-tongue, till now I couldn’t manage to read anything continuously, whether it’s a storybook or some journal or some books for my study. Yes, I read something, but couldn’t manage to read constantly or to finish those in a proper time limit. I got some chances to read some stories from my Odia literature book, English book, News Paper, a few monthly storybooks from my relatives. But those were not sufficient to improve my skill. And after completion of class 3, I used to focus on Mathematics only to get mastery on that and totally ignored other subjects. As a  result, I used to remember things to write an essay. And one more important thing is needed to improve skills is interaction with good people or students of that kind. But, I didn’t get that also in those days.

In my high-school days, I got the English tuition, but unfortunately, I couldn’t get that much of the basic ideas in English. Since I used to talk and write in Odia, I can write correctly in that language only. But, for English, there is no such basic skill to improve in that. And that time, I just used to read everything to get a good score not to utilize them at the time of requirement. And the reading of stories from different newspapers also stopped due to some reason, as well as the reading capability and the imported knowledge from those reduced gradually. Due to the family pressure, I used to read some grammars in Odia and Sanskrit, but couldn’t remember them for a period of time. After the exam, those grammars fade away from my brain. And we love those, which we like or which are easy for us. So those literature subjects, especially English became an enemy to me.

Till my engineering day, I never read a novel in my own Odia language also. In my 2nd year, I read the 1st novel, which was written in Odia, named “Badhu Nirupama”. There was a movie in Odia based on that story, but I read that, though I found that interesting. That was my first ever experience to read something constantly. After engineering, when I moved to Bangalore, there I get tips from my friends to read novels or journals which contain some interesting things, those I like. So, after that, I got this book form one of my friends and start reading.

Since it was my second novel and 1st in English, at the beginning of my reading, I face some difficulties, but using a dictionary I got those meanings and gradually read more and more from the book. At first, I just loved the title of this book as “When Only Love Remains”. When I start reading this book, I used to read only one chapter, but the interesting facts of the storyline increase my willpower to read more and more. When you enjoy the taste, you want more to eat. Like that, I started reading more and more from this book and that made me read something constantly.

The story of the book started about a young girl, Avantika, who went to live with her father in Delhi. She used to stay with granny after the death of her mother. As she thought her mother died due to the irresponsibility of her father. That’s why she didn’t like her father, but due to the pressure from her granny, she came to stay with him. Her relationship with her father was not so good. Even they didn’t speak to each other directly but using phones to communicate a little bit. In the dining table, they even faced each other, but don’t have any conversation. In Delhi, She joined an airline as an air-hostage. Along with that, she joined a college for further studies. That’s why she left Derahdun and used to live with her father. She misses her granny but managed to adjust by calling her several times a day. From her school days, music was her best friend. She used to listen to music when she got upset. She loves the songs of a boy who was not an established singer but made his own compositions and uploaded them to the internet. She downloads those songs to her mobile and she felt amazing by listening to them repeatedly.

In Dehradun, she had a boyfriend, whom she liked most at the beginning of their relationship. But his feelings and behavior towards her gradually changed. That’s why she started to hate that boy. She was mistreated by that guy in many times and he also slapped her several times within that one year of their relationship. Actually, she wished to leave that guy, but it’s not an easy thing to give a break to any life routine. That guy also reached Delhi by following her. Every time he used to scare her and she couldn’t run away from that condition also. That guy was a child of some powerful government officer, so she also scared due to that reason. He found another girl but didn’t leave her in her own way.

In those days, she managed to complete her course as an air-hostage and got ready for the first flight. In her first flight, she got some new friends. She has a character to speak more than 10,000 words per day. But in Delhi, she couldn’t get that chance to talk more. She used to call her granny, but couldn’t talk to others. On her first flight, she was very happy and she talked almost with all the passengers on that flight. On the first flight, she also got some lessons from her seniors and managed to land safely. She loved to go places, for that reason she joined as an air-hostage. After landing there, she wished to roam that city, and with her new friend, she had some fun. That day, she enjoyed her life as she wished to live. When she returned home, she had her first conversation with her dad. She didn’t receive the calls form that guy, so he came to her home and made some disturbances. Her dad asked about that guy, but she lied to him. But her dad is not a small child who could easily believe her words. He was a mathematics genius, who was a lecture at a university there. He used to live in his own world. But, when something happens to his daughter, he couldn’t sit silently. After that, he used to keep an eye on his daughter to keep her safe. Even during her way to the airport, he lied to her and gives a company to the airport to protect her and that was his chance to become a hero in the eyes of his daughter, which he didn’t wish to lose. Since she was living with her grandma, he doesn’t have any personal attachment to her. But as a father, he tried to come closer to his daughter and be with her as a family.

That boy, whom Avantika used to listen to repeatedly a singer, Debart, who left his engineering and trying to establish in the entertainment line. He wrote his songs and composed them and also records them with his own voice and uploads them to the internet. There was an organizer who managed to organize some consorts for him and that guy gets some money to live. In the near past, his girlfriend left him and got engaged with someone else. But, he couldn’t forget her and has started a bad habit like smoking. He used to some more and more cigarettes, but his parents had no idea about that. They allowed him to choose his life by himself and agreed with his decision to leave college. Every time they support him, but they couldn’t allow their only child to hug death by this type of bad habits. After the breakup, he become like a mad person and left his food, depending only on cigarettes. His manager and one friend of him managed to control him and he got a chance to sing a song for some YouTube channel. That song gets more popularity and within two days, he got more offers to sing.

Avantika loved his new song. After 6 months, he sang a song and she loved that song the most. She was the die-hard fan of that guy. She used to contact him through social media. She got a chance to fly to Kolkatta and she gets to know about the consort of him at some bar on that night. So, she went to that bar with one of her friends, who knew everything about her and her feelings towards that guy.

At the time of singing, he noticed a girl who was singing all his songs and he got surprised when he saw that girl was also singing his old songs which may not listen to anyone else. After singing, he met her and got to know about her and she was so pleased after meeting him. They left the bar and he joined her because her friend was already left. They both had a walk-in that night and when they reached their hotel, she invited him to her room. At that time, her ex came to that room and they had a fight with him. At that time, Avantika got the courage to shout over her ex, and for the first time, she feels more relaxed. On the next day she left for the airport and on the flight, she saw him. He followed her and took the flight for Delhi. She was just surprised by seeing him. After landing in Delhi airport, he went with Avantika’s home, when she forced him. When they reached home, her dad was not there. When her dad came home, he saw them and for the first time, he shared his loved comic books with them. He also loved Debart.

Gradually, they fall in love and on their first anniversary, she was waiting for him, but he didn’t reach her. He met a road accident on his way to Avantika and got admitted to the hospital. He was in comma and time passed away for up to several months. In those days Avantika didn’t step her feet outside of that hospital, she forgets everything about her and took care of her life. That love, that care, that affection everything she has for Debart are just amazing.

That book brings out all your tears and laughter. That emotion must thrill the reader and at last, the story also ends with that amount of love. Everyone should read it and should care about their love. After knowledge, “Love” is the only remaining thing in our life which increases by sharing.
