Durga Puja in Odisha

In Odisha, there are more number of festivals celebrated in a year. Among all the festivals the Durga Puja is the most expensive celebrating festival. In Kolkata, Durga puja celebrated in a different way and used more and more money in puja pandals. Don't know from when this festival has been celebrating. But according to the holy Ramayana by Balmiki, we could guess that it was started by Lord Rama Chandra before the fight against Rabana. The Sradiya DurgaPuja 1st time held by Rama Chandra in the season of  Autumn.


The people of Odisha celebrating all the festivals in the ecstasy. The season of Parbana started form the Ganesh Puja. Mainly Lord Ganesh is considering as the porter. In every puja in the home we 1st worships Lord Ganeshji. So we start the festival and all the preparation for the Parbana form the Ganesh Puja. In Odisha DurgaPuja of Cuttack is famous for the silver decoration. In every town, Durga Puja is celebrating in a joyful mood.
